Description and Reason for Change:

In response to customer feedback, Swagelok will be maintaining a significant portion of Swagelok EC79 certifications while the industry is moving from EC79 to ISO‐19887‐1 as the standard for on‐vehicle fittings and valves, testing to the new requirements has not yet been completed. This will allow time for customers to move to the new standard.
The table below provides the details regarding these certifications for the impacted product lines.

EC79 Certification and Part Marking Discontinuation REVISION

Available Options:

Before testing to the new requirements is completed: Swagelok will continue supplying most of Swagelok EC79‐marked products per the table above.
Once testing of these impacted products to the ISO‐19887‐1 specification has been completed, letters of attestation (LoA) will be made available. Swagelok will opt not to type‐approve or mark products to this ISO standard.
